Your research, with DeepSearch MCP.

Connect your assistant to DeepSearch through the Model Context Protocol. Find the right person or company, build a sourced report and ask follow-up questions without leaving the chat.
  • Search

    Start with distinct people

A name, phone, email or username comes back as separate candidates with a confidence score, so same-name people never blur together.

  • Report

    Build a sourced report

Pick the candidate you mean and get one public footprint, with every fact linked to the page it came from.

  • Ask

    Ask one specific question

Follow up on the report you built. Answers stay grounded in the same public sources.

Add DeepSearch to your app.

Pick the app you use. The server URL is the same everywhere, and signing in replaces any key.

How to connect ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create app, name it DeepSearch, paste the server URL and pick OAuth.
  3. Sign in to DeepSearch, review the access it asks for, then allow it.

Developer mode depends on your ChatGPT plan. In a managed workspace an admin may need to allow custom apps first.

Then ask
Use DeepSearch to find public profiles for Ada Lovelace. Show me the distinct candidates first, then build a sourced report for the one I choose.

Access you can see and revoke.

  1. Sign in, no key to copy

Clients register themselves and sign in with OAuth. Access tokens last an hour and refresh on their own.

  2. Approve what it needs

The consent screen lists each permission it asks for: searching, building reports and answering follow-up questions.

  3. Disconnect anytime

Every connection is listed under Connected apps in your developer settings, where one click revokes it.

Common questions

Which clients can connect?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. That includes ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Le Chat, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot in VS Code and Gemini CLI.

Do I need an API key?

No. Clients that support OAuth register themselves and open the DeepSearch sign-in screen, so there is nothing to copy. A client that cannot sign in can send an API key as a bearer token instead.

Can I use a local server?

There is no local package to run. The server is hosted at https://deepsearch.app/api/mcp, and any client that can reach it over HTTPS can connect.

What permissions does my assistant get?

Only what you approve on the consent screen: searching, building reports and answering follow-up questions. Each tool call checks the permission it needs before it runs.

Why does my assistant ask me to pick a candidate?

Several people often share a name. The search tool returns them as separate candidates, and a full report is built only for the one you choose, so two people are never merged into one profile.

Does every tool call use my allowance?

Searches and new reports use your account's included usage. Replaying a cached report is free, and listing tools, reading jobs and cancelling them costs nothing.

How long does a connection last?

Access tokens last an hour and refresh on their own. A connection stays signed in while your app uses it at least once every 60 days; after a longer gap, it asks you to sign in again.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Configure the server with the public sandbox key dsk_test_deepsearch as a bearer token. Every tool then returns fixed sample results, unmetered and without an account.

Is the server listed in the MCP Registry?

Yes. It is published in the official MCP Registry as app.deepsearch/deepsearch, and that entry points back at this server URL.

How do I revoke a connection?

Open Connected apps in your developer settings and disconnect the app. Its tokens stop working at once.
