How we made this chart
Data brokers that operated in California in 2025 had to register with the California Privacy Protection Agency (CalPrivacy) in 2026. The registration form asks each one the same questions, and CalPrivacy publishes every answer.
We grouped US registrations by the state of the broker's primary address, written either as a name or a postal code on the form.
Limits to keep in mind:
The address is the one the broker registered. It can be a registered agent or incorporation address, which is common in Delaware, rather than where the company works.
Affiliated companies often register separately, so one corporate group can appear several times.
